Performance

After hours and hours of Ballet Lessons and sitting Ballet exams, students of Ballet want to take all this studio time to the stage.

At Alba Ballet we build over the course to give our students the opportunity to perform at the top level at at top venue. To perform at this level we not only rely on dance but students have to put their acting skills to the fore as well.

Alba Ballet will provide the unique opportunity to perform in a full length ballet, which is only normally available to dancers who attend full time courses.

We performed the Nutcracker at The Beacon in 2014 and Cinderella in 2016. Cinderella was also performed in Largs..

Now we are working towards our next production of Coppelia which will be in 2018.

As a company we are always looking at opportunities for our dancers to perform and showcase our school and dancers.

Premier Performance by Alba Ballet

Alba Ballets first ever performance took place on the 26th October 2012 at Clydeview Academy. Alba Ballet and Elite Academy of dance were invited to take part by Scottish Ballet as part of the Find Your Feet performance which Scottish Ballet were presenting.

To a packed hall of 250 people the evening started off with a short introduction and film by Scottish Ballet, giving an insight in to life of a Ballet dancer..

Elite Academy dancers then opened the show with a routine with a mix of Mid Section and Junior Section dancers..

This was followed by the Senior Section of Alba Ballet who performed a new routine the girls had been working on with Tristan over the past few weeks.

Both sets of Dancers from Elite .and Alba were a credit to the schools, teachers and parents.

Scottish Ballet then finished the evening with various routines and a question and answer section.

Elite Acadeny and Alba would like to thank Scottish Ballet for inviting us to be part of the evenings entertainment, and for the opportunity to show and promote Classical Ballet in Greenock and  Inverclyde area..

Other Performances

We are looking at our next full blown performance which will take place in November 2018. Once again we will be doing performing.performances in two different venues

Yes a full blown Ballet production, costumes, make up- the full works.

All the hard work students have gone through in training will end with them having the opportunity to perform- its what all dancers want to do.

This will given students valuable performance experience, some with main roles, others with supporting roles and supported with students of Elite Academy of Dance if required.

Like our productions of The Nutcracker in 2014 and Cinderella in 2016, we hope to have professional dancers join us

Its a fantastic opportunity to add performance experience to any young dancers CV.

Students will also be able to take part in the End of Year Performance at Elite Academy of Dance
